Vubble Privacy Policy
Last Updated: March 15, 2021
This is Vubble’s privacy policy. In it, you’ll find a list of the user data we collect on this site, how we collect it, why we collect it, where we store it, and when we will delete it. Below this list, you’ll find the rest of our privacy policy, written in more formal legalese. We hope this combination gives you a clear understanding of our use of data.
What user data do we collect?
At Vubble, we collect and analyze usage data to understand our traffic, improve user experience and offer personalized content recommendations in our products like the Discovery Box and the Smart Newsletter.
- Website data collection
- Through third-party analytics services, we track aggregated statistics about visits, including session duration and pages visited. We also collect non-personally identifiable data about who is visiting our website, including which city visits came from and what kind of device was used.
- We may also display ads on our website and any interactions with those ads will also be recorded.
- Our server logs store every request made along with the IP address that request came from.
- Discovery Box data collection
- We collect usage data for our Discovery Boxes, including which topics you selected and which videos you clicked on. For Youtube videos only, we record when playback starts and completes. We also record when you close a video pop-up and when you access your AI settings. For all users who are not also Smart Newsletter subscribers, this data is non-personally identifiable.
- Some of our Discovery Boxes have an AI feature that enables personalized content recommendations. Once enabled, we prompt you to provide your content preferences like topics and tone, and we store that data on our servers to provide tailored recommendations. We use your preferences as well as your interaction history to keep providing better recommendations. An example of our Discovery Box embedded on our website is: https://embed.vubblepop.com/feeds/vubbledemo.html
- Email Newsletter data collection
- We collect your name and email address when you register for our email newsletter. We track when an email is opened and when a link is clicked in it.
- For our Smart Newsletter users, we track the data outlined above for our AI-enabled Discovery Boxes.
How do we collect our data?
We use cookies to collect user data. That means when a user visits our site or one of our products like the Discovery Box, we tag them with a unique number that we follow while a user is on our site. If a user returns at a later time, our system recalls that unique number and adds new interactions to the history associated with that number. This process may happen through a third-party service like Google Analytics, or through first-party cookies we create ourselves. You can learn more about the cookies we use here.
For our email newsletters, we use a third-party email service which allows us to collect data on how you engage with the newsletters. This is done through tiny images embedded in the email called tracking pixels, which are used to detect when an email is opened by counting when that image was downloaded. We can also see when you click on a link in an email because those links are encoded to hit another server first which counts clicks and then redirects to the intended page.
Which social media plug-ins do we use?
Our Discovery Boxes contain social media buttons to enable you to share videos with your networks through Facebook and Twitter. This is how they each work:
- The Twitter share button opens a new window prompting you to log in to your account. If you do not click on this button, there's no interaction with Twitter and no cookies or web beacons will be installed.
- The Facebook share button requires the Facebook SDK to be installed on the page when it loads, and it may act as a web beacon, sending information to Facebook directly about your interactions with the webpage even if you have not clicked the share button itself. You can read Facebook's Terms of Service here.
Is the user data personally identifiable?
The email address we collect from a user is personally identifiable information. The user data we collect from cookies is not personally identifiable, in other words that data does not reveal the identity of a person. The IP addresses collected as part of our server logs are not linked to any other personal information, so they are not personally identifiable.
How long do we keep data?
We keep user data until someone tells us they want it deleted. If you'd like us to delete your user data, you can contact us here: support@vubblepop.com.

Log Data
When you visit the Site, our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website ("Log Data"). This Log Data may include information such as your IP address, browser type or the domain from which you are visiting, the web-pages you visit and the search terms you use. For most users accessing the Internet from an Internet service provider the IP address will be different every time you log on. We use Log Data to monitor the use of the Site and of our Service, and for the Site’s technical administration. We do not associate your IP address with any other personally identifiable information to identify you personally, except in case of violation of the Terms of Service.
Cookies and Automatically Collected Information
Like many websites, we also use "cookie" technology to collect additional website usage data and to improve the Site and our Service. A cookie is a small data file that we transfer to your computer's hard disk. We do not use cookies to collect personally identifiable information.
Vubble may use both session cookies and persistent cookies to better understand how you interact with the Site and our Service, to monitor aggregate usage by our users and web traffic routing on the Site, and to improve the Site and our services. A session cookie enables certain features of the Site and our service and is deleted from your computer when you disconnect from or leave the Site. A persistent cookie remains after you close your browser and may be used by your browser on subsequent visits to the Site. Persistent cookies can be removed by following your web browser help file directions. Most Internet browsers automatically accept cookies. You can instruct your browser, by editing its options, to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie from the websites you visit.
Please note that if you delete, or choose not to accept, cookies from the Service, you may not be able to utilize the features of the Service to their fullest potential. Vubble does not process or respond to web browsers’ “do not track” signals or other similar transmissions that indicate a request to disable online tracking of users who use our Service. We may also automatically record certain information from your device by using various types of technology, including “clear gifs” or “web beacons.” This automatically collected information may include your IP address or other device address or ID, web browser and/or device type, the web pages or sites that you visit just before or just after you use the Service, the pages or other content you view or otherwise interact with on the Service, and the dates and times that you visit, access, or use the Service. We also may use these technologies to collect information regarding your interaction with email messages, such as whether you opened, clicked on, or forwarded a message. This information is gathered from all users, and may be connected with other information about you.
We may implement third party buttons (such as the Facebook “share” button) that may function as web beacons even when you do not interact with the button. Information collected through third-party web beacons and buttons is collected directly by these third parties, not by Vubble. Information collected by a third party in this manner is subject to that third party’s own data collection, use, and disclosure policies.
